Enough Helium3 to Provide Energy for Humanity for 10,000 Years:
That is why the race is on back to the moon. Thay say there is enough Helium3 at the
south pole of the moon, that can be converted to provide energy to mankind for 10,000 years!
Longer term, there is potential for operating a fusion reactor with helium-3 as a fuel.
This is something that has long been advocated by people like Harrison "Jack" Schmitt, a
geologist who flew on Apollo 17 to the Moon. However, there are serious questions in the
scientific community about the viability of this approach. Helium-3 moon mining makes
no sense for fusion. Fusion reactors are likely to initially work with Deuterium-Tritium
because this fuel takes a much lower temperature to reach fusion. Once those reactors
are up and running, the Tritium will decay into Helium-3 in a bit over a decade. In other
words, by the time anyone's looking to take the step from D-T fusion to He-3 fusion,
they'll already have a domestic source of He-3 from their own reactors. The BIG Question is:
Will they let us have it here on Earth? China is already there ... will the U.S. fight them
over it on the moon? Will Quantum AI be put on the moon to run the Earth?
